Short version: SlideShrink doesn't collect anything. There's no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and your files never leave your machine.

The desktop app

SlideShrink runs entirely on your computer. When you open a PowerPoint, Word or Excel file, it's read, analyzed and compressed locally; the output is written next to the original, which is never modified or sent anywhere. The app makes no network requests, collects no usage data, and doesn't ask for or store any personal information.

The web analyzer

The analyzer at slideshrink.com/analyzer.html is a static page. Unzipping, parsing and estimating savings all happen in your browser using JavaScript; your file is never uploaded. You can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools, or by reading the analyzer's source directly, since it ships unminified.

The website

slideshrink.com carries no analytics, trackers, or third-party scripts, and sets no cookies. Standard web server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) are kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention, and are not used to identify individuals or shared with anyone.

Microsoft Store

If you install SlideShrink through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft collects its own standard diagnostic and usage data as part of the Windows platform, under Microsoft's privacy statement. SlideShrink itself does not add any collection on top of that.
